The Artistic Newborn Session

What to Expect
1. Let's chat and book you in
Congratulations on your baby! Once you're booked in, we will first discuss the details of your session. This also gives us a chance to get to know each other a little before the shoot. We can chat on the phone or just over email, whatever is more comfortable for you. You can let me know what you'd like from our session together and if you have any questions. We will discuss what colours/ tones of props you'd like, the poses/ shots, little details etc. I will also go over what you will expect during and after your session with me.
2. The session
I typically book newborn sessions late morning. I will arrive at your house and bring in my props, equipment and set up. This takes about 30 minutes, at that time I'd like you to give your newborn a full feed. I will start by photographing your baby with a variety of props and poses. Once we finish up with just the baby poses we will move on to the family portion. If you'd prefer not to have family photos taken at this time, that's ok too! I will use that time to get more variety and sets with your baby. Typically I will photograph the newborn for about 1.5- 2 hours, depending on how many breaks we need and the family portion is around 30 mins or so. With set up and take down you can expect me to be there for around 3 hours.
3. Choose your favourites
A few days after the session I will upload your viewing gallery for you to select your favourite images. The images in the viewing gallery you see right after the session will not be the final edit. Once you have selected the images you'd like, it will take me about 2-3 weeks to edit them. I will send you a link to the new downloadable gallery once I am finished.
